Why pick your nose?
After doing some “minimal” research, I found a couple of legitimate reason why men and women pick their noses.
- Your nose itches and you have to satisfy that Nagy itchy feeling from the inside.
- You have boogers lodged inside, either making it hard to breathe, or you just have a bunch of annoying snot in there that needs to be expelled.
- (updated 7/30/2010) It’s also a know fact that eating your boogers will/can help boost your immune system. <– I’m not eating my boogers.
- THERE IS NO #4…PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!!!
Here are the real questions. 1. Who picks their noses the most, Men or Women? 2. Where does the picking happen? 3. What happens to the booger after it’s been picked?
Who picks their noses the most, Men or Women?
- Both men and women pick their noses equally. Men pick their noses with more intensity and they usually don’t care when or where it happens. Women are a little more discrete. They usually lodge their finger up their nose when no-one is around. Or they’ll fake a cough. It may look like they cover their mouths, but they’re really digging for that annoying booger that has been bothering them all day.
Where does the picking happen? – Nose picking happens when it happens.
- At home: You’re at home, what do I need to explain!
- At work: You’ll either do it in the bathroom or in your little cubical.
- Driving: Anyone who has their window tinted seems to think they are cloaked from the world, but they forget the person in front of them has a rear-view mirror. Anyway, I have seen both Men and Women look like they are having a convulsion because they continuously ram that finger of theirs up their nose. It’s kinda gross!
What happens to the booger after it’s been picked?
- At home: I would hope that it goes into the trash. Actually, my roommate would pick his nose and feed it to his dog.
- At work: The trash, wipe it on the bathroom wall, wipe it under your desk, or you can eat it.
- Driving: Me…I would roll it up into a ball and drop it onto the floor board, flick it out the window, or you can eat it.

1. If I pick my nose at home, I used to give it to guinness. Now I am not much a at home picker. I just blow my nose in the shower.
2. My favorite place to pick my nose use to be in my car when I had more then a mile to drive. Oh and I would flick it out the window if it was a rollable booger..If not then I would wipe it under my passenger seat..
3. Now that number 1 or 2 no longer happen I now pick at work and I go into the bathroom, and I stll prefer to roll and flick but if it cant be done in 5 or so finger rubs I wipe it on toilet paper and flush.
