The Grrr: September 21st, 2009…This day had to be one of the most Disappointing days in my life. “I didn’t get to finish my Tri.” In the first leg of the race; I ended up getting kicked on the back my head and the paramedics wouldn’t let me finish because I was slightly dizzy. I could understand they wouldn’t let me finish, but it was heart breaking for me to stand there and watch my training go down the drain.
My Thanks: I want to say “Thank You” to my family and my good friends who supported me through my disappointment. It brings me great joy knowing I have them to show me the light in dark situations, make me laugh when I want to cry, and not to beat my self up over something so trivial. They continue to give me hope and I definitely know they will support me in my next Triathlon. But before I do another Tri, Derrick and I have decided to a 13 mile run. It’ll be held in San Diego and it will be some-time in January of 2010.
Congrats: Derrick, you are a Rock Star! I am glad I didn’t bitch-out and leave after what happened. Although I didn’t get to finish with you…I was happy enough to see cross the Finish Line. You have definitely opened my eyes to a new life and future. I look forward to a 13 mile race with you. But during our next TRI; I’ll be sure to beat your ass. LOL Bring it Sucka!
I will have pictures up later…

Ok guys! I am scared and I’m totally getting freaked out with this whole race. I got this stupid email yesterday and it made it worse. Now I have to race with the BIG BOYS. Don’t they know I’m an Old Man?!? Whatever! I will hold my head up high and finish strong.
Wish me Luck!

A couple of days ago, while in the shower, I had this crazy notion to shave my legs. I don’t know what urged the idea, but I was actually curious what it was going be like since I’m going to shave them for my 1/2 triathlon. The end results aren’t that bad. I did miss a spot or two, but my legs are really smooth and I feel extra sexy!
“Watch out ladies! My legs are hot hot hot. ha-ha”

This is what it looked like with me all lathered up. LOL
Let me tell you the real reason I’m writing this post. Shaving your legs isn’t that easy. It took a bit of time (for me at least) and I had to be extra careful not to cut myself. Guy’s, if you try to shaving for the first time, I suggest you do it sitting down! I almost died trying to shave standing up. Not Funny! I lost my balance and half my body fell out of the shower. I was fortunate I didn’t crack my skull on the toilet or slit my wrist with the razor trying to catch myself. Even though sitting down wasn’t life threatening, I still found it quite difficult shaving the back of my legs. Ladies, do you have this problem? I think it’s a pain in the butt! Between the several awkward positions and trying to keep my leg relaxed, I finally finished my calf area and worked my way the front. The front part is way easy. The only thing I had to worry about was my knee. If you’re not careful…you might cut yourself because the skin around the knee moves easily and might get caught in the blade. I don’t know how long it took me to shave each leg, but it was long enough for me to run out of hot water. That was a new experience for me.
After satisfying my curiosity…I have decided not to shave my legs until the day before my triathlon. And it does feel funny wearing dress pants.
I also would like to give “props” to all the ladies who shave their legs for their man. I love having a woman with silky smooth legs. Now that I know what you go through, I appreciate it even more. Thanks!
